Hot - So Hot!!

If you live in Seattle it is just what you do - you talk about the weather. How you can't believe it's cloudy and then you can't believe ALL the rain - Yadda Yadda. But wouldn't you know it? Today is about 82 degrees and I am Hot - So Hot!!

I am really enjoying it though, seeing the season's. Feeling the changes in the air and the vivid evidence of the cycles of life. We went for a walk the other night near a Marsh by our house and another lady pointed out to us about 6 baby ducklings.

We are still wondering if this is the place for us and we know there is going to be a hard decision to make up ahead but I have to say that no matter what happens I am glad for this experience, and for this life. I hope the "season" you are in is just as good :)

Memorial Weekend

Happy Birthday to my Sweet Kissa!!

3 is big - I mean really BIG! Here is what happened on the big day according to Kissa:
We had "pupcakes" and blew to the candle and all da prezents and Chuckie Cheese was scary.

It was great fun had by all and even Audrey "got used to" someone else getting presents and not her. But she does wonder how Kissa went from 2 to 3? We are all growing up aren't we?

Besides Birthday fun I was able to finish my scrap quilt. I hand quilted it and it turned out so lovely. Perfect for that baby that we don't have anymore... The girls don't like it because it isn't pink ... ahhh I so remember when they couldn't give their opinions.

It is 4:00 here. I should be off the computer and getting dinner ready and clearing any evidence of the other two meals and 10 snacks we have had today.
All our love ~

Ducks in the Yard

We have been meaning to post this for two days. Audrey had some friends over on a rather rainy day and wouldn't you know it but two cute ducks waddled into our front yard!! It was so sweet. We raced in the house and grabbed some bread to give them a little treat.

Just the right kind of visitors for a rainy day :)
We are getting excited for June - Kindergarten ending, Dance Recitals, and lots of summer visitors. Picturing warm days ahead sitting by water and enjoying the girls!!

Fun Tip

I always wanted to be that gal that had all those fun tips stored away.

Have a stain? Mix one drop of this with one drop of that and dab gently.
Cranky kid? Mix one drop of this with one drop of that and dab gently... Just Kidding...

Thanks to Family Circle I am able to add a new tip to my mental filing cabinet.

Need 1 cup of Buttermilk? Mix 2 Tablespoons white vinegar and enough milk to make 1 cup. It curdles in seconds and there you have it.

For something that might produce better results than that in your life check out this awesome Quilt Giveaway at one of my favorite blogs to read - Pigtails and Snails or click on the button on my sidebar. If you win then go ahead and send me your prize :)

Quilting Away

My new dear friend let me rummage through her scrap box the other night and I was able to produce this table runner. As I was sewing it I was thinking of all the wonderful Mom's in my life that I could make it for. But I am so dang selfish because the minute I was done I "tried it out" on my end table and there she sits in her new permanent home. ~Lovely~

I am a scrap addict and just can't stand having fabric pile up from old projects that can't be used for something else. It is raining out today and I have nothing better than to sew these cute little stacks into something or other. It is all I can think about ~ I dream quilts...weird, huh?

Good Morning Momma

Of Course, it is the sound of little feet. But then you hear the swishing of a pull-up, see the rosy cheeks, and the stare of the brighest eyes. You feel the full force of 30 pounds as she runs and jumps into your arms with that first morning hug. You can't help but sniff the hair and neck for that last remaining baby smell. What bliss... good morning momma.
